Guantanamo Bay pics

After researching for Guantanamo bay information i found this site with pictures of Guananamo bay and what the prision looks like. None of the pictures show faces of people but shows what cells look like etc. Check it out, it looks pretty bad.

I thought the picture were captivating but I think that from seeing them there is no breach in the Geneva Conventions. It seems like all the facilities were in accordance with the rights of a POW. It would be interesting to see if there are other facilities or if the facilities are not as well kept as that because I think that is probably the case. It would be nice if someone tries to find other pictures on the facilities there to discover if they are actually in accordance with the Geneva Conventions.

I think there needs to be more information than just pictures to find out whether or not Guantanamo is in accordance with the Geneva Conventions. There needs to be a legitimate investigation to determine how the detainees were treated. That would take years and needs to be ordered by an international group, like the UN, because the US will not order something like that.

I felt like those pictures didn't say much. And any of the pictures we would see wouldn't be very intense, i don't think they would show us legitimate pictures of people being tortured.

This Guantanamo Bay prisoner was needlessly forced to stand on a box and if he fell off he was electrocuted...I'm pretty sure that defies the Geneva Convention on torture.

One of the major issues hampering efforts to stop the abuse is that those in charge blame it on a handful of people further down on the ladder when in fact, one guy, Steven Stephanowicz encouraged the MPs under his command to terrorize his inmates with the full knowledge that this meant physical abuse.

i agree with isabel, there is plenty of information about how guantanamo bay is unethical, against the geneva conventions and morally repugnant, no need to judge by a few pics
